The RCA-SU has a 15-seater minibus available for Students and Departments to use for trips away, moving work or anything else you can think of. We are not aiming to make any profit from the minibus hire and the charges are worked out to cover costs. It costs us over £3000 per year for the upkeep.
This includes congestion charge, tax, insurance,
MOTs, repairs and servicing.
The minibus should be returned in the state in which it was hired. You will also be charged for any repairs or cleaning needed. An initial £80 deposit will be taken
before hire.
Terms and Conditions of Use
- To be eligible to drive the SU mini-bus, you must have a full, clean UK Driving License with NO points. You must be able to present both PAPER and PLASTIC parts.
- The Mini-Bus can be used for transporting work or moving house. However, you must use the dustsheets provided and return the vehicle clean. You are liable for any repair or cleaning costs.
- You must take and pass a short SU driving test.
- You must be a current RCA student.
- Block booking is not allowed.
- The minibus is hired out with a full tank of diesel. On return, you must completely refill the tank with diesel. Otherwise you will be charged £2.00 per litre. The nearest Gas Station is on Cromwell Road, just off Queens Gate. The nearest 24 hour station is: Battersea Park Service Station, 15-25 Parkgate Road, Battersea, London, SW11 4NP.
- It is your responsibility to park the Mini Bus in the SU parking bay.
IF THE SPACE HAS BEEN TAKEN YOU MUST TELL RECEPTION AND WAIT UNTIL THE SPACE BECOMES AVAILABLE. DO NOT HAND BACK THE KEYS TO SU OFFICE WITHOUT THE MINIBUS CORRECTLY PARKED. YOU WILL BE FINED £10 & WILL NOT BE ALLOWED USE OF THE BUS AGAIN IF YOU PARK INCORRECTLY.
- Please ask SU if you would like to use the SAT NAV.
